How to Set Up Cisco AnyConnect on Windows
This guide shows how to install and configure Cisco AnyConnect on Windows using the built-in VPN client. Cisco AnyConnect provides secure and reliable connections for PremierVPN users.

Prerequisites
- A Windows PC with Microsoft Store access.
- A valid PremierVPN account. Don’t have one? Sign up here.
- VPN server details (hostnames) from your Welcome Email or the AnyConnect Servers Page.
Step 1: Install Cisco AnyConnect
- Open the Microsoft Store on your Windows PC.
- Search for Cisco AnyConnect.
- Select it from the results and click Get or Install.
Step 2: Open VPN Settings
- Open the Settings app on Windows.
- Navigate to Network & Internet → VPN.
- Click Add a VPN connection.
Step 3: Enter PremierVPN Details
- In VPN provider, choose AnyConnect.
- In Connection name, type something like PremierVPN.
- In Server name or address, enter a hostname from our AnyConnect Servers Page.
- Type of sign-in info is automatically set to Username and password.
- AnyConnect does not allow saving credentials — you’ll enter them each time you connect.
- Click Save to add the VPN connection.
Step 4: Connect to PremierVPN
- Go back to the VPN settings page.
- Select your new “PremierVPN” connection and click Connect.
- Enter your PremierVPN Username (email) when prompted.
- Enter your PremierVPN Password and click Next.
Step 5: Verify the Connection
To confirm your VPN is working, open a browser and visit vpnleakcheck.com. Your IP should now display the VPN location.
Step 6: Disconnect (Optional)
- Return to the VPN settings page.
- Select the active “PremierVPN” connection.
- Click Disconnect to end the VPN session.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Make sure your PremierVPN account is active and your credentials are correct.
- Check your internet connection if you’re unable to connect.
- If problems persist, confirm the hostname from our server list is correct.
