Setting up IKEv2 VPN on macOS
Step-by-Step Setup Instructions
Click the Apple menu in the top left corner of the screen and select System Settings.

Navigate through the following menu path to add a new VPN configuration:

In the Display Name field, enter a descriptive name for your VPN connection, such as "PremierVPN NY" or "My PremierVPN".
In the Server Address field, enter one of the PremierVPN IKEv2 hostnames. For this example, we'll use: ny2.premiervpn.net
Available PremierVPN Servers:
In the Remote ID field, enter the same hostname as the server address. Using our example: ny2.premiervpn.net
In the User Authentication menu, select the option Username.
In the Username field, enter the VPN username from your Activation Email. This is normally your email address.
In the Password field, enter the VPN password from your Activation Email.
Click the Create button to save your VPN configuration.

Your VPN connection is now configured. To connect to the VPN:
- Click VPN & Filters in the Network settings
- Slide the button to the right next to your VPN connection to Connect

- Ensure you're using the VPN password, not your billing password

- Try connecting to a different PremierVPN server
- Check if your firewall is blocking the connection
- Verify that the Remote ID exactly matches the Server Address

- Disable "Connect On Demand" if enabled and causing issues
- Restart your network interface (turn WiFi off and on)
Can't Access Internet After Connecting

- Check DNS settings in System Preferences → Network
- Try using different DNS servers (8.8.8.8, 1.1.1.1)
