Setting up IKEv2 VPN on Windows 11
Step-by-Step Setup Instructions
Open the Settings app by clicking the Start button and selecting the Settings icon, or press Windows + I.

Click on Network & Internet in the Settings window.

Click on VPN from the Network & Internet options.

Click the Add VPN button to create a new VPN connection.

In the VPN provider drop-down menu, select Windows (built-in).
In the Connection name field, enter a name for your VPN connection, for example: PremierVPN NY
In the Server name or address field, enter the hostname of the PremierVPN IKEv2 VPN server that you want to connect to. For example: ny2.premiervpn.net
Available PremierVPN Servers:
In the VPN type drop-down menu, select IKEv2.
In the Type of sign-in info drop-down menu, select Username and password.
Enter your PremierVPN credentials:
- In the Username field, enter the VPN username you received in your Activation Email
- In the Password field, enter the VPN password you received in your Activation Email
Click the Save button to create your VPN connection. Your configuration should look similar to the screenshots below:


Your VPN connection has now been created. To connect to the VPN, simply click on the Connect button next to the VPN connection that you created.

- Try connecting to a different PremierVPN server
- Check if your firewall is blocking the connection
- Temporarily disable antivirus software to test
- Ensure UDP ports 500 and 4500 are not blocked
Frequent Disconnections
